Snowline Hotel Rockin' The Ovens Valley
We had a great time over summer with live music at the Snowline so are keen to book regular live bands for Friday & Saturday nights over the Ski Season. A big thanks to all who turned out to support the bands and make it worthwhile for us to invest in bringing live music to Harrietville. Some of the great bands we hosted over the summer included;

SatuRday 19th of July - Buggerz To Blame - Josh Grundy and Pete Atckinson From 8:30pm
Josh & Pete play a great mix of acoustic rock. Their gigs on the deck over summer were a highlight with an eclectic mix of covers and originals. Josh sneaks some mandolin and banjo action in to provide a bluegrass feel that perfectly compliments Pete's excellent vocal range.
SatuRday 26th of July - SqUID - From 8:30pm
Squid bring tha funk to the valley. Four piece funk band from Torquay guaranteed to get your body movin. In their own words...
"One winters night in a dark street in Pt Roadknight jam sessions were created when lead guitarist Dishie, bass guitarist J.R and some freinds decided to get together and funk out. It was only a matter of time before they needed a drummer and went on the search. There had been a whisper that a drummer called sammy who had decided to take up shaping Viper surfboards was the man when it came to the beats, so J.R went to see him. After a chat Sam came to a jam and blew us away. Squid was formed. It was only a matter of time until the word got out that Funk was alive and well. When Scotty came in for a Jam with his funky horn playing and lifted the roof of the sucker... it was then we knew Squid was complete. Squid is a funk band based in the coastal towns of Jan Juc and Anglesea, Victoria. What can we say, we like to funk, surf, skate and get down to the groove. Ask yourself, do you have the funk? "

Saturday 23rd of August - The Thoughts - From 8:30pm
"Once upon a time three boys from the sleepy coastal town of Torquay started drinking beer and playing their instruments in the lounge room.....Then people got amped and wanted them to drink beer at their parties and play in their lounge rooms.....As time passed they they drank a little more beer and played to more people in other rooms..................."
The Thoughts are coming to the Snowline to drink our beer & rattle the windows. Great sounding indie/punk band that might start an ole fashioned mosh!
